CC Systems has in close co-operation with John Deere Forestry developed several generations of advanced control and information systems for forest machinery. System high-lights: Mobile factories As the machines operate like mobile factories, it is quite understandable that you need a lot of on-board control and information system support. CC Systems´ powerful on-board PC, CC Pilot XL, is a pre-requisite for managing all that functionality. It is worth noticing the high level of system integration; all the subsystems are packaged and integrated so that the operator perceives them as one system. The CC Pilot XL runs the harvesting process application which involves optimisation algorithms; based on historical tree data and price lists it calculates how a specific tree should be cut in order to get the highest possible value. Secondly, the on-board PC runs a range of information system applications like diagnostics, event and alarm logs, navigation, mobile communications (e-mail, M2M), harvester head calibration, management of cutting instructions based on price lists, production data management, rear-view camera monitor etc.
