Increased SMD line capacity
In order to adapt to increasing demand on both standard products and customised electronics CC Systems have made a major upgrade of the surface mounting production line.
In early May CC Systems installed a new Mydata MY12E pick and place machine to increase the throughput and accuracy of surface mounted PCB´s. The new machine is equipped with a mounting head, HYDRA, that’s able to handle eight different components simultaneously. It is also equipped with a linear Y-unit for faster and more accurate board handling, which increases the throughput significantly.
To optimize the surface mounting line the existing MY12 has been upgraded with the same board handling system as in the MY12E, new CPU hardware and new software.
The results from initial batches produced in the upgraded line are very promising; we have noted considerable improvements both in accuracy and capacity.
